Measures Caine & Co. had offices in Palmers Green in the late 1980’s and took over
the long established firm of W H Hopkins & Co. in 1981 which was also located along Green Lanes, a few hundred yards away. The two practices later combined into one office and became known simply as Caine’s Solicitors with Denis Caine as its senior partner.
In the late 1980s an additional office in the heart of Enfield Town was acquired and later all business was operated from that office.
In 1992 a number of clients from Monk and Co. in Winchmore Hill and Edmonton were introduced to the practice following the closure of that firm.
In 1999 an opportunity arose to acquire a branch office run by A. Rossides & Co. in Palmers Green. Following Denis Caine’s retirement in 2001 the Enfield office closed and all business transferred to our current offices at 22 Aldermans Hill Palmers Green.
The firm was run by our sole principal, Adil Vittachi, who has been here since 14th September 1982 (not that he’s counting).
